    1. Overview

    This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the content standards and usage guidelines for the AdGrove platform. All advertisers and publishers must comply with this policy. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

    2. Permitted Content

    Standard Categories

    Legitimate businesses, products, and services across standard categories including technology, entertainment, education, retail, finance, health & wellness, travel, and more.

    3. Restricted Categories (Opt-In Required)

    The following categories require explicit opt-in from both advertisers and publishers, and undergo enhanced review:

    Adult Content (18+)

    Content of a sexual or mature nature intended for adult audiences only.

    Requirements:

    • Age verification acknowledgment
    • No illegal content
    • Only served to opted-in adult-oriented websites
    • Enhanced moderation review

    Gambling

    Online casinos, sports betting, poker, lottery, and related services.

    Requirements:

    • Valid gambling license documentation
    • Compliance with regional gambling laws
    • Only served to opted-in publishers
    • Geographic restrictions respected

    Alcohol

    Beer, wine, spirits, and related beverages.

    Requirements:

    • Compliance with alcohol advertising regulations
    • Age-appropriate targeting only
    • Only served to opted-in publishers
    • No promotion of excessive consumption

    4. Prohibited Content

    The following content is strictly prohibited on AdGrove and will result in immediate rejection and potential account termination:

    Illegal Activities

    Drug trafficking, weapons sales, human trafficking, or any illegal goods/services

    Malware & Phishing

    Malicious software, phishing attempts, or deceptive security warnings

    Hate Speech

    Content promoting discrimination, hatred, or violence against individuals or groups

    Child Exploitation

    Any content involving or suggesting exploitation of minors

    Terrorism

    Content promoting or glorifying terrorist activities or organisations

    Counterfeit Goods

    Fake or replica products misrepresented as genuine

    Misleading Claims

    False health claims, fake reviews, or deceptive advertising

    Copyright Infringement

    Unauthorised use of copyrighted material

    Pyramid Schemes

    Multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes

    Dangerous Activities

    Content promoting self-harm, dangerous challenges, or reckless behaviour

    5. Publisher Category Matching

    AdGrove guarantees that restricted category advertisements will only be served to websites that have explicitly opted-in to those categories. Our system ensures:

    • Publishers must explicitly enable each restricted category they wish to receive
    • Category matching is verified before each ad impression
    • Audit logs track all category assignments and changes
    • Regular automated checks ensure compliance

    6. Moderation Process

    Our content moderation includes:

    Initial Review

    All new campaigns and websites are reviewed by our moderation team before approval. This includes video content analysis, landing page verification, and business legitimacy checks.

    Ongoing Monitoring

    We continuously monitor for policy violations through automated systems and periodic manual reviews. User reports are investigated promptly.

    User Reporting

    Viewers can report inappropriate ads directly through the ad player. All reports are reviewed and actioned within 24 hours.

    7. Enforcement

    Violations of this policy may result in:

    • Warning: First-time minor violations may receive a warning
    • Content Removal: Violating content will be immediately removed
    • Account Suspension: Repeated or serious violations result in suspension
    • Permanent Termination: Severe violations result in permanent ban
    • Legal Action: Criminal activity may be reported to authorities

    8. Reporting Violations

    To report content that violates this policy:

    • Use the report button in the ad player
    • Email abuse@adgrove.io with details
    • Include the ad/website URL and description of the violation

    We take all reports seriously and investigate within 24 hours.

    9. Appeals

    If you believe your content was incorrectly rejected or your account was wrongly suspended, you may appeal by contacting appeals@adgrove.io. Include:

    • Your account email
    • The content or campaign in question
    • Your explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect

    Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days.
